CONCEPTION (Drumkit)
Every good idea starts with a concept, a combination of past ideas and forward thinking. In a world where the test of time determines an artist’s longevity, it is important to know what trends and similarities are common amongst the works that have passed that test.
That is what led to the idea, development, and creation of “Conception”. I wanted to make sure I released this kit before releasing my custom ones, so that it gets to those who need it ASAP. Upon entering the world of music production, I had a hard time identifying the origin of certain sounds I liked in the songs I enjoyed. Countless hours were lost to combing through sounds and drum kits in search of that one snare or kick or hi hat. All that time I spent searching for sounds could have been better used producing music.
I’ve spent the past year or two curating these sounds from my favorite songs, listening closely to find the sounds that I liked, comparing and matching the waveforms to be extra sure, EQing out unnecessary frequencies, and cleaning up the transients to acquire a clean and crisp collection of everything needed to help get my ideas down fast, while still maintaining a placement-ready quality. I truly hope that this kit finds its way onto the hard drives of those that need not waste their time and energy on finding sounds when they could be creating.
